Welcome to Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club

Waikanae SLSC has patrolled the beaches at the heart of the city for 75 years. Our community centered organisation is made up of dedicated volunteers who train hard all year round to ensure locals and visitors remain safe around our beaches.

Based at our beautiful new building at the end of Grey Street, club activities include lifeguard training, volunteer patrols, first aid training, junior surf programs. surf competition, IRB driver training, community water safety, beach education days and much more.

We offer our architecturally designed club rooms for hire to the business community, drawing in visitors from all over the world. Our superbly equipped gym caters for the discerning fitness enthusiast and boasts a view second to none.

As a registered charity, we depend heavily on sponsorship, funding and the generosity of donations and countless volunteer hours, without which we could not provide this service. We are delighted to be associated with the wonderful people at Kaiaponi Fruit Farms, our main naming sponsor.
